Behind the Work
My name is Zach Triola, and I started Grandecco because I genuinely love this work.
My background is in the arts. I studied ceramics, art, and design at SUNY New Paltz, where I developed a strong foundation in material, texture, and form. That experience shaped how I approach my work today, focusing not only on how a surface looks, but on how it makes a space feel.
After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts, I spent three years working as an apprentice for an established decorative artist, gaining hands-on experience in homes and commercial spaces across Long Island. Those three years bridged the gap between my formal training and working with real clients.
Today I create custom plaster and decorative finishes for residential and commercial interiors. Each project starts with the space: what it needs, how the light moves through it, and how the right finish will interact with the surrounding architecture. No two projects are the same, and each one gets the same level of care and attention regardless of scale.
Grandecco was built on the belief that the experience of working with someone should be as good as the finished result: clear communication, honest pricing, and a process that’s straightforward from start to finish.
Whether it’s a single feature wall or a larger project, the goal is always the same: to create a finish that feels like it belongs in the space and adds a certain something that was missing before.
